On December 1st, at the JRC Alliance 2025 Annual Meeting and Ningbo Tongdao Appreciation Dinner, sparkling lights, a gathering of elites, and exquisite cuisines with fine wines together created a warm and lively evening.

As the lights lit up and dusk fell, in the gorgeous winter, we ushered in a grand event in the national navigation and communication industry. More than 200 guests from JRC Alliance and peer institutions across the country gathered at Shanghai Jianguo Hotel.

Taking the appreciation dinner as an opportunity, we created a high-quality communication space for JRC, YDK, alliance members and friends from the industry, conveying the most sincere warmth.

【Leadership Speech: Jointly Mapping Out Development】

Mr. Le Yu, General Manager of Ningbo Tongdao Electronics Co., Ltd. – the alliance's executive unit – delivered a keynote speech at the dinner:

"Since the alliance was founded in February 2019, we have walked hand in hand through six extraordinary years. Over the past six years, under the correct leadership of JRC, we have jointly faced many challenges such as shortage of spare parts and insufficient production capacity. We have sought common ground while reserving differences, stood together through thick and thin, and always united as one to meet difficulties head-on.

I would like to thank alliance members including Ningbo Kangdun Electronics, Guangzhou Zhongli Ocean, Jiangsu Run'an, Zhoushan F4, as well as distributors across the country. Thank you for your long-term strong support, understanding and tolerance – you are our most solid backing.

Looking ahead to the future, we are full of confidence. Let us continue to move forward hand in hand, deepen cooperation, and jointly create a more magnificent tomorrow for the navigation and communication industry!"

In recent years, YDK has achieved significant growth in sales performance. In his speech, Mr. Sano fully recognized Ningbo Tongdao; in return, Ningbo Tongdao will live up to expectations and continue to promote products such as YDK's gyrocompass CMZ-900B.

【Brilliant Moment: Kagami-biraki Ceremony】

Kagami-biraki is a traditional Japanese custom. In Japanese, the large wooden barrel used to store sake is called "kagami" (pronounced "kagami"), and the process of breaking open this barrel is known as "kagami-biraki".

During Japan’s Edo period (historical note: 1603-1868), people would break open sake barrels before going to war to boost morale. Today, the kagami-biraki ceremony is held on occasions such as the start of the New Year, before a long journey, or at celebration events like tonight’s gathering, to pray for success and good fortune.

When the host shouted "Start" (Japanese: "sano"), the guests on stage, carrying the beautiful vision of "creating the future", joined hands to break open the wooden barrel together.
